1. The essentials

DuoScribble does not require user accounts. The current version of the app does not include advertising SDKs or third-party in-app analytics SDKs. We do not operate a server that receives gameplay sessions or drawings.

The app is designed to be enjoyed by friends and families on a single device or using two iPhones on the same local network.

2. Information kept on your device

The app stores limited game settings, such as sound preferences and which words have recently appeared, using on-device storage. This helps vary future rounds and remember settings. The game does not upload this information to a DuoScribble account or cloud service.

3. Local multiplayer

When you use Two iPhones mode, the app requests permission to discover and connect to nearby devices on your local network. During the game, connected phones exchange drawing strokes, guesses, scores, round state, and similar gameplay messages directly across that network.

Nearby Play uses a direct local TCP connection and does not provide end-to-end encryption. Please use a trusted local network and do not share passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information through game drawings or guesses. Game messages are not sent to a DuoScribble-operated server.

4. Information you send for support

If you email our team, your email address, message, and any attachments are received through our email provider (Google Workspace). We use that information to respond to your request, investigate problems, and maintain appropriate support records. You may request deletion of your support correspondence by emailing us, subject to applicable legal obligations.

5. Our website

This informational website does not contain advertising trackers, analytics scripts, contact forms, or nonessential cookies. Our hosting provider, Netlify, may process standard server data (such as IP addresses and request logs) to serve the site and maintain security, under its own policies.

6. Children and families

DuoScribble is designed for family-friendly play. We do not knowingly request personal information from children through an in-app account system. Parents or guardians can contact us about any privacy concerns at support@duoscribble.com.

7. Your choices

You can stop using Nearby Play and manage Local Network access in iOS Settings. Uninstalling DuoScribble removes locally stored app data according to the operating system’s normal behavior.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the game changes. The latest version will appear at this address.
